The one thing that disappoints me about my life here in the big city is my lack of trying new things in the food department. The only thing I’ve really gotten into is Thai (which I’m eating right now, yum) and more Chinese things. I should have definitely tried Indian and Middle Eastern food by now. I guess that’s something to work on for the new year. Look at me, who the hell makes New Year’s resolutions to try new foods?!?! I really should try to reduce the food intake as a whole. Ok, a revised resolution: Eat less, but when you do eat make it Indian or Middle Eastern. Who am I kidding? Another thing on the food front is this new grocery delivery service. I had seen the billboards on the bus and the telephone stands in my neighborhood and then after hearing it’s praises from a co-worker, I decided to give it a shot. I get my first delivery tonight between 8-10 PM. It’s a pretty good deal because your first $50 is free and my order was $95, so I’m only paying $45. We’ll see how it goes. I did notice some of the prices were more reasonable. In fact, a box of cereal that goes for about $5 is online for like $2.50. I don’t have a big kitchen but if all goes well, I will be ordering in groceries every other week and ordering in dinner less. Maybe this will help with my other resolutions (I should call them ideas so as not to psyche myself out) of saving money and eating less carbs and more protein. I did that a few years ago and it really worked. If you want a good eating plan, I recommend Living Lean: The Larry North Program. It’s great but can be time consuming which is the case with most eating plans. Regardless, it's a good read with great advice. ----- EXTENDED BODY: ----- EXCERPT: ----- --------
